Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for students with special needs.
- Adapt and modify lesson plans to accommodate various learning styles and abilities.
- Provide academic, social, and emotional support to students in both group and one-on-one settings.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, staff, and parents to monitor and support student progress.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress, attendance, and IEP documentation.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student success.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or related field.
- Active South Carolina Teaching License with a Special Education endorsement required.
- Previous experience as a Special Education Teacher preferred.
- Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and collaboration skills.
